Your host, "Dr. J" is a mental skill coach to athletes of all levels. From beginners to pros and Olympians, Dr. J helps high performers develop and harness their Bad Mother Fucker Vibes!
The Bad Mother Fu*ker Vibes (BMFV) Pod is "Dr. J.'s "tongue-in-cheek platform for talking performance, talking mental skill training, and sometimes talking a little smack.
BMF Vibes are state high performers tap into when they're operating at their absolute best. They aren't about unchecked ego or arrogance, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach. BMFVs are an individualized zone where confidence, intensity, and focus align perfectly with one's personality and disposition. The vibes show up when an athlete is present, connected to their purpose, and letting it rip.
BMFVs exist on a continuum: Some high-performers dominate with an ice-cold, unshakable presence, while others thrive on fiery, explosive energy. Some operate with quiet self-assurance, while others embrace a bold, undeniable swagger.
Regardless of where someone falls on this spectrum, their BMFVs are what allow them to block out doubt, elevate their game, and impose their will on the sporting environment. It's the mindset that separates good from great.
Join us as we dissect how some of the best in the world do their thing!

In this episode of *Bad Mother Fu*ker Vibes*, Dr. J. sits down with pro beach volleyball athlete Savvy Simo for a powerful conversation about mental health, anxiety, and panic, and what it really takes to perform at the highest level.
